Hello! I am a third year PhD student at the institute for Natural Language Processing, University of Stuttgart. I am part of the Research Group Computational Models of Misunderstanding for Complex Instructional Texts (MIST). Our group is headed by Dr. Michael Roth and focuses on the computational modeling of text passages that could lead to misunderstandings.

My research interests include:

  • computational modeling of implicit and underspecified language
  • question-answering
  • explainability in NLP

  • April 2022. Our paper (joint work with Anna Sauer & Michael Roth) “Clarifying implicit and underspecified phrases in instructional texts” is accepted for an oral presentation at LREC2022.
  • November 2021. I am co-organizing [the second workshop on underspecified and implicit language] https://unimplicit2022.github.io/ together with Valentina Pyatkin and Daniel Fried, which will be held at NAACL2022. The call for papers are [here]: (https://www.aclweb.org/portal/content/second-call-papers-second-workshop-understanding-implicit-and-underspecified-language)
  • September 2021. Our paper resolving implicit references in instructional texts got accepted at CODI 2021, to be held with EMNLP2021.
  • August 2021. I am co-organizing SemEval-2022 Task 7: identifying plausible and implausible clarifications in instructional texts. [Task website] (https://clarificationtask.github.io/)
